Contagion is a fear inducing, contemplative happenstance that creatively utilizes multiple perspectives to submerse its viewers into the experience of a viral outbreak. Its an gripping, tension filled attack on one anxieties that grants an insightful glimpse of fragile nature of the civilized world. The film is comprised of an all star casts that utilizes the talents of Hollywood A-listers such as Matt Damon (We Bought a Zoo), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows), Gweneth Paltrow (Country Strong), Kate Winslet (Carnage), Laurence Fishburne (Predators), Sanaa Lathann (The Family That Preys), and Marion Cotillard (Inception).
Contagion is an emotional, thought-provoking testament of the human condition. It is a fantastic example that aptly illustrates how fragile society is. It appropriately exhibits how easily civil unrest can be induced through fear, panic, and hysteria. It’s a multifaceted, tale of the human condition that questions morality as well as one’s humanity.
